With a journey in ministry spanning some 25 years, my path has woven through different parts of the UK and further afield, presiding over the important milestones that shape all our lives. From joyful celebrations, at the time of baptisms and weddings, to the more challenging tender farewells at the time of someone’s death, I consider it to have been a privilege to have had the opportunity to accompany individuals through every stage of life's journey.
Throughout that time, I've especially found myself drawn to help accompany families as they navigate the important process of saying farewell to their loved ones. There's a distinct feel to these moments, where sadness and remembrance often intertwine, and where we seek to tenderly honour and celebrate the essence of someone’s life.
Yet, amidst this, I'm deeply aware that the services we provide are not about us; it's about the person we've gathered to honour. It's about shaping a tribute that is unique and reflects the legacy of your loved one. My responsibility is to help facilitate this important gathering with warmth, compassion, and reverence, ensuring that every aspect of the Funeral Service speaks of their life and the love shared. It's in these treasured moments of remembrance that we can often find solace, honouring the lives that have touched ours in so many ways.
